Mohanlal’s Joshi directed Naran is the clear Onam winner at the Kerala box-office. It is a super hit and has resurrected Mohanlal’s sagging career as his last two releases were flops.
Naran has collected a whopping Rs 1.02 Crore as distributors share in the first week (Sep 3- 09) and Rs 67 Lakhs in its second week (Sep10- 16) totaling to Rs 1.69 Crore. Now the trade pundits are predicting a share of Rs 2.50 to 2.75 Crore from releasing stations alone.
This means that the film will recover its cost of production (including print and publicity of Rs 2.55 Crore) from releasing station alone. Three cheers to Mohanlal!
